Some homes retain their essence despite the passing of time. Others need someone to listen to them again. This 146 m² apartment on República Argentina Avenue had been occupied for years and was in a significant state of disrepair. Yet beneath the signs of neglect, it still retained the qualities that made it special.
Our approach was to recover that essence through calm, timeless architecture. Light, proportions and a new layout allow the apartment to breathe again, restoring the sense of space and tranquillity that time had obscured.
In the living and dining room, decorative ceiling mouldings bring the understated elegance characteristic of Barcelona’s finest homes. Natural light moves through the space, reinforcing a sophisticated, peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.
The kitchen became the heart of the home. Open to the surrounding spaces to encourage everyday interaction, yet designed with enough subtlety to retain a sense of intimacy and seclusion. A delicate balance that brings warmth and makes this space the soul of the project.
The eye is inevitably drawn towards the gallery. Bathed in light and connected to the outdoors, it has become a special place to work, read or simply pause. A peaceful space that invites you to slow down, bringing an atmosphere that is increasingly difficult to find in the city.
